The bodybuilder and fitness influencer regularly tries out the diet plans of some of the world's fittest athletes, from soccer star Lionel Messi to NBA legend LeBron James, and in honor of the upcoming Super Bowl Sunday, Soueid just spent a day eating like none other than quarterback and GOAT Tom Brady.

Brady's diet consists of 3 meals and 3,000 calories, coming from 306 grams of carbs, 125 grams of fat, and 185 grams of protein. The first meal is a protein shake made with unsweetened almond milk and almonds, which Soeuid downs before his workout.

The second meal is much heartier: 9 ounces of chicken breast, pasta in bechamel sauce, and a side of steamed broccoli and spinach. This meal, which comes to a total of 1,092 calories and accounts for the only lean meat in Brady's largely plant-based diet, is a "certified banger" according to Soueid.

The third and final meal of the day consists of a protein shake made with a banana and blueberries, an almond butter and grape jelly sandwich, and a bar of dark chocolate. "This is an absolute treat," he says. "This is apparently also Tom Brady's pre-game day meal, that's what he says. This could be the secret to him winning six Super Bowls."

The ketogenic, or "keto," diet has become widely popular in recent years, as celebrities like LeBron James and the Kardashian sisters have touted it as a surefire way to drop pounds fast.

In fact, a 2019 survey of registered dietitian nutritionists ranked the keto diet as the most popular diet in the US. Here's how you can follow the keto diet and critical information to know about its health benefits and risks.

The keto diet is a low-carb, high-fat eating plan. "[It is] low enough in carbohydrates that it would induce ketosis," says David Levitsky, PhD, a professor in the division of nutritional sciences at the Cornell University College of Human Ecology.

Ketosis is a physiological state in which your body burns fat rather than carbohydrates for fuel, which can help some people lose weight.

Eating keto may improve your health in a few ways, according to research:

It can help you lose weight. A 2020 meta-analysis found that overweight or obese people lost more weight on the keto diet than they did on low-fat diets, especially those with type 2 diabetes.

Levitsky says that weight loss can help lower blood sugar and blood pressure levels, which is quite beneficial for people with diabetes or high blood pressure, as well as those who may be at risk for these conditions. However, people with type 1 diabetes should not try the keto diet, as it may cause serious side effects.

It can prevent epileptic seizures. The keto diet was originally invented as a possible treatment for epilepsy in the 1920s. Some research in mice has found that it can reduce brain inflammation, though the exact mechanisms for how it can treat seizures in humans are unclear.

A small 2018 study found that 87% of adults with "drug-resistant epilepsy" reported that their quality of life had improved after three months on a keto diet. About 76% had less severe seizures, and more than 50% had fewer seizures overall.

Although eating keto does not have any known "long-term deleterious effects," says Levitsky, it is not without risk. Some risks of the keto diet include:

Therefore, it's best to adhere to the keto diet for a short period of time, Levitsky says. The recommended minimum is two to three weeks the typical length of time it takes to reach a state of ketosis and the recommended maximum is six to 12 months.

The keto diet is a relatively safe and effective way to lose weight in the short term. However, once you incorporate carbs back into your diet, the pounds will likely creep back on, Levitsky says. To lose weight, you should talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian who can help create an individualized plan for your goals.

Once you've got the all-clear, prioritize the most nutritious foods to avoid making classic keto diet mistakes. Keep these must-have healthy keto diet foods in mind next time you head to the grocery store.

Avocado is a keto-diet staple and, given the nutrients this fruit packs (yes, avocado is a fruit), it's no surprise. Avocados are high in healthy, unsaturated fats, which can help lower LDL cholesterol if they replace saturated fats, according to Harvard Health Publishing.

This popular fruit is also high in fiber, a crucial nutrient that can help lower your risk of heart disease and diabetes, according to the Mayo Clinic. Fiber will also keep your digestion regular, which is an issue that many people face when following the keto diet.

Avocado carb counts, according to the USDA:

While the term "net carbs" hasn't officially been defined by a major nutrition organization, it's typically used to refer to the carbs your body actually digests. To calculate net carbs, take the total carbohydrates in a given food and subtract its fiber and any sugar alcohols.

Salmon is an excellent source of both protein and unsaturated fat, which can help you feel satiated, according to Frances Largeman-Roth, RDN. A 3-ounce serving of salmon provides about 17 grams of protein, with about 3.4 grams of fat, according to the USDA.

Grass-fed beef (rather than grain-fed) is generally higher in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants like vitamin E, according to the Mayo Clinic.

With fewer than 100 calories each, eggs are a great source of fat and protein, according to the USDA. They're also high in choline, a nutrient that helps your body digest fat and keeps your nervous system functioning properly, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

If you're following a keto diet, there's no reason to go with low-fat cheese options. Instead, opt for a whole-milk feta. Feta is generally low in calories with only about 75 per ounce and full of nutrients like calcium and vitamin B12, according to the USDA.

Although it doesn't get as much attention as vitamins C or D, your body needs vitamin B12 for red blood cell formation, according to the NIH. This vitamin is also important for healthy brain function.

Because it's fermented, yogurt is also a great source of probiotics, according to the Mayo Clinic. Probiotics are good-for-you bacteria that support your gut microbiome, which keeps digestion healthy and can even affect your mood.

Butter is a standard keto go-to and can fit into a healthy keto diet especially in baked goods, Largeman-Roth says but you'll need to eat it in moderation, as it contains saturated fats.

As with beef, consider choosing grass-fed or organic butter when possible. Grass-fed and organic varieties generally contain a higher ratio of healthy, unsaturated fats, according to an April 2017 study published in Foods. Plus, organic butter may also be higher in omega-3 fatty acids.

You can also try ghee, Largeman-Roth says, a clarified butter that's shelf-stable and free of lactose. Like butter, you'll want to use ghee in moderation, as it's high in calories and contains some saturated fats.

Butter carb counts, according to the USDA:

Coconut oil is used in plenty of keto recipes as a way to boost the fat content of your meals, according to Largeman-Roth. If you're new to the keto diet, you'll probably want to have a jar of coconut oil in your pantry.

But don't overload every meal with this keto-diet staple. "While these fats are fine in moderation, coconut oil contains saturated fat, which several studies show can lead to heart disease," Largeman-Roth says.

With less than 4 grams of total carbs and about 20 grams of fat per serving, according to the USDA, pecans are definitely a keto-friendly nut.

Pecans are also a good source of zinc, providing about 12 percent of your daily recommended amount. Zinc supports your immune system and may even shorten the length of a cold, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Almonds and walnuts pack just 6 and 4 grams of carbs per ounce, respectively. You can even combine the three to make your own DIY trail mix.

Along with nuts, seeds are another low-carb, high-fat snack that fit perfectly onto the list of healthy keto diet foods. Pine nuts they're actually seeds, despite the name have only about 5 grams of carbs and 17 grams of fat per ounce, according to the USDA.

A one-ounce serving will also supply about 16 percent of the magnesium you need. Magnesium supports healthy nerve and muscle function, according to the NIH, and also helps your body properly process protein.

Buying a variety of leafy greens is never a bad idea, especially considering they're all low in carbs. Mix up your kale keto salads with some spinach, arugula or romaine.

Brussels sprouts are another low-carb veggie option for people following a keto diet, Largeman-Roth says. Brussels sprouts are a great way to get some vitamin C into your diet, providing about 83 percent of the daily recommended value in one cup, according to the USDA.

We always hear that vitamin C can support healthy immune function. But it also helps your body restore other antioxidants, according to the NIH. And with fewer carbs that vitamin C-packed fruits, Brussels are a more keto-friendly way to get a dose of this important antioxidant.

Add even more variety to your veggies with cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli and asparagus, Largeman-Roth says.

While high-carb fruits like apples, oranges and bananas are pretty much off-limits on a keto diet, blueberries are low on the glycemic index, meaning they're low in sugar and carbs, according to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Blueberries are also a good source of vitamin C and K, providing about 16 percent and 24 percent of your daily recommended amounts respectively, according to the USDA.

The dietary choices of both Tom Brady and LeBron James are apparently the stuff of legend -- just for the opposite reasons.

On Thursday, The Athletic published an oral history of tall tales concerning James. The 35-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star has been a paragon of longevity of excellence in the NBA, just like Brady is in the NFL.

For the 42-year-old New England Patriots quarterback, its common knowledge that longevity is attributed to his strict, unconventional approach to nutrition. Brady is crazy strict about what he eats.

James? Not so much.

Tristan Thompson, James former teammate with the Cleveland Cavaliers, told The Athletic that man who led the Cavs to their first title has the worst (expletive) diet ever.

Ask him what he eats for breakfast, Thompson said to The Athletic. He has like five french toast, drowns it in syrup with strawberries and bananas. Then he has like a four-egg omelette and then he goes and just (expletive) dunks on somebody. It doesnt make sense.

That breakfast is a nightmare for Bradys TB12 training regimen. Its loaded with white flour and processed sugars. But what really seals it as an anti-Brady diet is the fact that Thompson specifically mentions strawberries.

While not nutritionally excluded from Bradys heavily plant-based diet, strawberries are famous for being the bane of the long-time for the quarterback -- solely because of the taste.

During an appearance on NPR in 2018, Brady said that he thinks strawberries taste like s---.

Strawberries aside, Brady is a proponent of plant-based food, consistent hydration and avoiding processed procucts. James, on the other hand, seems to have a bit of a sweet tooth.

He eats desserts with every meal, Thompson told The Athletic. Hell come with his one-week diet, vegan crap, but he literally eats like it doesnt make sense. Hes really a specimen. He eats like (expletive). I remember one year I tried to eat like he ate and it just didnt work out. I started gaining weight and said, (expletive) this. I mean it works for him. He loves sweets. He loves sweets. He eats desserts and French toast. Its crazy how his body just burns it.

Brady has seven years on James. But when the quarterback was 35, hed already been a long proponent of maintaining a strict diet. James, on the other hand, seems to have the metabolism to skirt past any nutritional problems.

Alex Ovechkin tried to diet once, but ‘I didn’t lose weight’ – Russian Machine Never Breaks

During the Washington Capitals west coast swing, Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson did an interview with Linda Cohn for a feature on ESPN+. During the interview, we learned that Ovechkin would instantly retire if he broke Wayne Gretkzys goal record. Yeah, right away. See ya! Ovechkin said as he saluted the camera.

ESPN recently made more of the ridiculous interview available on YouTube. There we learned of Alex Ovechkins frustration with diets.

During the 2018 postseason, Ovechkins legendary and borderline inspiring appetite was made public by Brooks Orpik in a Players Tribute article. Orpik explained that The Great 8 had chicken parm from Mamma Lucia before every game. Its the kind of thing you want to take a five-hour nap after eating, he said.

Ovechkin talked more about his eating habits with Cohn.

Cohn pointed out to Ovechkin that hes one of the top players in the NHL despite his age. She pointed out that Tom Brady of the NFL and LeBron James of the NBA changed certain things from either the way they played to the way they ate or trained to stay relevant.

Yeah, of course, Ive done last couple of years I change my training, Ovechkin said before adding, I dont change my diet. He laughed.

In September, Ovechkin revealed during an NHL Media Day interview that he did less weightlifting and more cardiovascular training, but created a stir when he said his weight remained the same: 260 pounds.

Cohn then asked Ovi Whats your favorite food?

Everything I can eat, Ovechkin said. You can ask John, I eat everything.

Carlson responded that Ovi loved Mamma Lucias chicken parm.

Chicken parm, yeah. I just eat it pregame. Pizza, he said. Im not a big fan of stay on diets. I try to diet once, didnt work well. I just didnt lose weight. I said you know what, forget about it. Im just going to do my thing.

Ovechkin also spoke about the Capitals Stanley Cup celebration in 2018.

I think we make one mistake out there, Ovechkin said. In Georgetown, we didnt bring any cameras. That was probably the highlight of our celebration I think. Everybody was together, fans, team, and we just have so much fun. It seems like basically you can do whatever you want and nobody would care. But I think yeah, I hope we gonna get not only one Cup but, hope so, get a couple Cups, but the celebration is gonna be much much bigger because we knew how to do it. Its gonna be planned right away.

He also had a cute exchange when John Carson revealed that Connor McDavid is the toughest player in the NHL to defend.

I think hes probably at the top of everyones list in terms of when we do our meetings no matter if youre a forward or a defenseman or goalie, you always need to be aware of where he is and hes a guy that can strike from anywhere and very fast.

Cohn added that over the years speed is now king with the MacKinnons and McDavids. She told Ovi youre not really a north-south guy.

I was like them. Not anymore, Ovechkin deadpanned.

Cohn asked when it went away.

Ovechkin turned to Carlson, Tell me.

Carlson began sheepishly laughing. I dont know. Youre still north-south. You can still fly.

Models, athletes and celebrities swear by the ketogenic "keto" diet to help shed those unwanted pounds. The keto diet encourages eating more cheese, butter and bacon; it's a low-carb, high-fat diet akin to the Atkins Diet created in 1972 by cardiologist Robert C. Atkins. The latest fad diet has amassed a following of devoted supporters, including Tim Tebow, LeBron James and Kim Kardashian, but does it really work?

Carol Johnston, professor and associate director of the nutrition program in the School of Nutrition and Health Promotion at Arizona State University, explains why the low-carb, high-fat diet is so popular, how it works, and what dieters should be eating to lose weight.

Question: Does the science behind the keto diet make sense? Would nearly eliminating carbs while increasing fat consumption help a person to lose weight?

Answer: The short answer is yes. There is mounting evidence that suggests calorie restricted, low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets are effective for weight loss, and the keto diet is an extreme version of this. Low-carb diets can be more satiating, allowing dieters to feel full longer, eat less, and thus experience greater weight loss success. However, calorie restricted, high-carb diets are also effective for weight loss.

Overwhelmingly, the most important factor in weight loss success is diet adherence. In research trials, most individuals who lose weight regain most of it within a year, regardless of which diet they were on. The downside of many of the fad diets you see today is the lack of emphasis on long-term lifestyle changes, which is necessary for long-term weight loss success.

Q: In your opinion, why is this diet so popular?

A: The keto diet is popular because it is easy to follow and on the surface seems effective. In the first few days after starting the keto diet, a person can experience a significant loss of water weight. When carb intake is restricted for a few days, glycogen stores in the muscle are reduced. Glycogen is responsible for water retention, so when its levels fall, so do our water levels. To the average person, the diet appears to be working. The number on the scale is going down. But, since most of this weight lost is water weight, it will return when the person consumes carbs again. While most people rely on scales to monitor weight loss and think any weight loss is good, the goal is actually to lose fat, which isn't always reflected on the scale. Additionally, the elevated levels of satietyfeeling fullmay help people stick to the diet longer and experience greater weight loss success.

Q: Is the keto diet healthy?

A: Keto diets have safely been used as an effective therapy for epilepsy for years. There are some risks associated with an extremely low-carb, high-fat diet, including elevated blood triglycerides (linked to elevated cardiovascular risk), increased urinary uric acid (which may lead to the formation of kidney stones), and lethargy. Adults on a low-carb diet are also at risk for adverse impacts to their bone health.

Q: We're always hearing about the evils of carbohydrates when it comes to losing weight. How important are carbs to our health and what role do they play in weight loss?

A: Carbs play a critical role in our health. We get energy either by burning glucose from carbs, or by burning fat. The keto diet focuses on the latter. Though carb-restricting diets are popular, carbs are actually less likely to convert into body fat than dietary fat.

Carbs are important for our brain and muscle health. Our brains rely entirely on glucose for energy productionthey can't get it from fatmaking the consumption of some carbs necessary. Our muscles can use either glucose or fat for energy, but during high-intensity exercise, they prefer glucose.

When we eat more carbs than we need, they convert to body fat, which contributes to obesity. In general, average Americansthose with a relatively sedentary lifestyleconsume more carbs and calories than they actually need. Athletes, on the other hand, need to keep their carb intake elevated to support their energy output. Balance between energy intake and output is key to maintaining a healthy weight.

Q: For people who are trying to lose weightwhat foods should they avoid? What foods should they include in their diet?

Question: Does the science behind the keto diet make sense? Would nearly eliminating carbs while increasing fat consumption help a person to lose weight?

Answer: The short answer is yes. There is mounting evidence that suggests calorie restricted, low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets are effective for weight loss, and the keto diet is an extreme version of this. Low-carb diets can be more satiating, allowing dieters to feel full longer, eat less, and thus experience greater weight loss success. Since joining SNL three years ago, Heidi Gardner has developed, as our friends at Vulture put it, a growing list of unforgettable characters like teen movie critic Bailey Gismert. She was also given a bigger stage during this past season, after being promoted to repertory player. Now, while sheltering in place, the actress and comedian has found herself cooking for entertainment, trying to re-create dishes she loves, like Jon & Vinnys vodka fusilli, and participating in weekly rituals like Saturday morning cereal. In her first week since the season ended, she also made Ina Garten recipes for lemon cake and teriyaki chicken, continued her exploration of the pros salads, and realized that smoothies are her culinary white whale.

Thursday, May 14This morning, I made the most perfect breakfast loaf in the world. It was a lemon cake, and Im still in awe of how good it tasted. So moist, so lemony. One of my favorite things Ive made.

No. 1, it looked beautiful. It kind of transported me to another world, I felt like maybe I was in England or something, because it was yellow and the crust was golden-brown and I made it in this ceramic white loaf pan. So probably the setting, just the mood of the loaf itself, was amazing.

I feel like I see loaves at Starbucks, like a slice of coffee cake or pumpkin bread, and theyre good because they have a lot of sugar in them. But youre kind of just like, Yeah, this is just sweet? And in this lemon loaf, there was so much lemon zest and fresh lemon juice that I felt like, Oh, this has depth. Also the actual cake part of it looked like a cake should look, like Great British Bake Off-style. I think maybe I was really enthusiastic about a perfect bake.

Also, I make a cappuccino every morning. Quad shot of espresso with a little bit of foamed heavy cream.

I should also add that I made one of my cats, Tweaky, a slice of bacon for her birthday. Usually she gets a Twinkie not a whole Twinkie. She just bites into it. She really likes the cream, which we realized one time when Zeb had a Twinkie and she just attacked it. Shes not one of those cats that likes human food.

For lunch, I had some coconut yogurt with lots of toppings. Im talking goji berries, coconut flakes, bee pollen, cacao nibs, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and blueberries. I drank some mountain blackberry Clearly Canadian. Yep, the delicious sparkling water from the 90s. You can order it on Amazon. It good.

Dinner was a green salad I re-created from the West Village restaurant Via Carota. It requires A LOT of lettuce washing. And its worth it! So much crunch. The recipe was on the Times website. I had never had it. I cant wait to be able to actually go to the restaurant and actually have their version. Im sure its so much better. I dont know, I find that it is actually kind of tough to make a good salad, a really satisfying salad. I was just searching for best salads ever, and so I found that one. Earlier in the month, I made Nancy Silvertons chopped salad. Im trying to find the pro versions of salad and give them my best shot.

I also made teriyaki salmon. The teriyaki wasnt overly sweet. It was a nice glaze with lots of ginger. And some white rice, too. If you put the sauce on the rice, it was killer. That was another Barefoot Contessa recipe. I was just on her site, trying to find good entre ideas, and that one was so good.

I feel like Ive gone through so many stages during this. Almost just cooking for pure entertainment. So Ill definitely think of something I had and be like, Oh, is that recipe online? Like Jon & Vinnys fusilli alla vodka, I made that and anything I remembered really liking from childhood. Ive been having Cream of Wheat. We have all this time to sit and think, so Im just like, what did I like? What did I used to be into? We just bought a box of Hamburger Helper, because I was like, That stuff was good. So Im going to try that at some point, just to be entertained.Friday, May 15Slice of lemon cake for breakfast because Im obsessed with my own creation. Its actually another Barefoot Contessa recipe that my friend Paula gave me. Im a distant cousin on this loaf. I havent cooked a lot of her recipes, but as I was making some of her stuff, I had a memory of probably 12 years ago making a meatloaf of hers. But I think I botched it and was like, Im not at the Barefoot Contessa level.

I snacked on figs drenched in almond butter and strawberry/raspberry jam from Supermoon. I like figs now. I like figs more than dates. Are we still friends?

I feel like figs, prunes, and dates are, when youre a kid, weird adult things. But then I feel like there was kind of a renaissance of dates in the last few years, so when I had a date for the first time, I was like, This is great. Oh, this is one out of those three figs, prunes, and dates that is cool. Figs and prunes still seemed intimidating. But then I bought some figs recently and was like, These are better. Theyre hardier, more full of flavor, all of the seeds on the inside. Then I started wondering: Did I totally miss out on Fig Newtons? Anyway, I had a date after having a love affair with figs, and I was like, yeah, I dont know that dates can do it for me anymore. Theyre just kind of basic.

We ordered pizza from Speedy Romeo on the Lower East Side for dinner. I got their White Album pizza, which was super-flavorful. Zeb got their St. Lucali, which he thought looked like a Totinos pizza, and that made him really happy, and he liked the taste. Zeb is definitely a pepperoni or sausage pizza person. Ive always been, just from basic days of Pizza Hut, a cheese, thin-crust pizza. Maybe mushroom. Ive just never liked meat on pizzavery much, although a long time ago Pizza Hut had a barbecue chicken pizza that I thought was really good. When white pizzas got bigger, I was suddenly like, These are fantastic; you dont need sauce.

We watched the movie Cliffhanger and split a Levain chocolate chip cookie with some Nancys Fancy gelato, Italian custard flavor.

Saturday, May 16Breakfast was a bowl of Golden Grahams and then a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles. We have cereal on Saturday mornings and watch old Saturday morning cartoons. Those are Saturday rules. Zeb had Corn Pops and then Fruity Pebbles.

Whats been really cool is, weve been kind of trying out new cereals every week. Weve done all the monster ones: Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Frankenberry. Right at the beginning of quarantine, my dad sent me those three boxes. I had never even had those as a kid, but they were delicious. Then he sent me another box, which had Fruit Loops, Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, and Apple Jacks.

Fruit Loops have traditionally been my favorite, and then last week when we were at the store we decided to get some more. Zeb was saying he remembers Golden Crisp being his favorite ever, and I was saying that I think I remember going through a Golden Grahams phase. So we got those just to see if they still got it, and they do still got it.

I made a shitty smoothie for lunch. EVERY smoothie I make is shitty. I quit. I added avocado to make it creamy, but it just gets nastier. I follow instructions, but Im smoothie-cursed. And ya know what, Im done. When I was maybe 18, I wasnt making smoothies but it was probably when they were becoming cool. I remember saying smoothies would be my desert-island food. If I could have one thing, Id pick smoothies, smoothies, smoothies. So, yeah, Ive completely ruined them for myself. Im like, smoothies suck. Thats my white whale.

Zeb made Nashville hot chicken. First try, and he killed it. Hes going to adjust the sauce a little for the next time. But just the fact that we can have hot chicken in our apartment is a Christmas presentsstyle high. Ive experienced this high with a few other things. I made French toast sticks, like in the vein of the Burger King french toast sticks, so that felt really special.

I would say that, especially during this, Ive been cooking a lot. Ive probably been trying out more things in the kitchen, but then once a day, Zebll just come in and dazzle with the hot chicken.

I was making a salad on the sidelines. It was the first time we were doing kind of a duet in the kitchen, and I thought, Oh, this is pretty cool in this little New York apartment. Were coexisting in the kitchen. Felt like maybe we were in a movie like The Big Chill or something. So it doesnt happen often.

Sunday, May 17Brunch was a care package from Supermoon. The pastry edition. Some hot hits from it were a croissant with a dulce de leche filling, a hazelnut and praline Choux Bomb, and a white-chocolate macadamia cookie. Sunday is my favorite day of the week because of Supermoon. We get to have like an eight-course pastry tasting every week. Its a delight!!!

In general, Im a diehard croissant fan. Gotta be really flaky, gotta be really buttery. And I have a controversial opinion that we, as Americans, tried to match the French as far as a great croissant, and I think we did. I think there are some places in L.A. that actually have the best croissant and that France got lazy. When I went to Paris, I was expecting to have the best croissant, and I was like, I dont think they got it.

For lunch, I walked to the B Cup Cafe on Avenue B and 13th and got an iced chai latte and a sweet brie sandwich. It was brie, honey and Granny Smith apples on a baguette. A lovely lunch that I had to take a lovely walk to get. Well worth it.

I made a classic whiskey sour for my in-home happy hour. I even used an egg white. And fancy cherries. And I shook the damn thing. Im becoming I dont know what Im becoming but theres no doubt Im becoming.

This is definitely a stuck at home thing. Ive never been a person who made a drink after work or even really poured a glass of wine. But on Cinco de Mayo, I was making tacos and wanted to have a Margarita. So I looked up a basic, not-too-sweet Margarita I just wanted to find something without a mix.

I did that and was like, Oh, thats good, I cant believe I had that at home what other cocktails do I want? It really made me feel like not a drinker, because I did not know. So I remembered taking a sip once of a whiskey sour that had the egg white foam on it, my friend had ordered it, and Ive always been someone who doesnt love whiskey. But I thought that was really good, Im going to try that. And now I think that might be my cocktail. I might order it out in the real world after all this, and like it?

I had a slice of Prince Street Pizza for dinner. I dont even like pepperoni pizza, but Prince Street is by far the best pizza on the planet. I cant get over how great that pizza is, and those pepperonis are so good. Im completely blown away. I do that gross thing where I moan and groan and comment after every bite about how good it is. Its the Krispy Kreme glazed donut of pizza. Like, at this point, its its own thing that cant compare to its modern-day counterparts. And like I said, Im not a pepperoni girl. Im a classically trained cheese pizza girl occasionally venturing out to a white pizza. Thats who I am. But Prince Street is my secret-identity pizza girl.

Watched the finale of The Last Dance and made some bomb stovetop popcorn. I loved Last Dance. I thought it was the perfect time for it to come out because there is no basketball and theres been such a debate the past few years: is MJ the GOAT? Is Lebron James the GOAT? Im a huge Lebron James fan. I would be switching and saying, I think Lebron James is the GOAT, and then this documentary comes out and youre reminded that Michael Jordan is a God of basketball, and theres no one like him, no one that plays like him. I know that we got to know Michael Jordan in a curated way, but I just thought it was so cool to get in the mind of a champion and how unfiltered and honest he was. At the end of it, I was like, Im so sad I cant have more Michael Jordan.Monday, May 18Breakfast was a slice of sourdough from Supermoon, toasted in butter and then smothered in their white peach and strawberry jam. A true taste sensation.

Lunch was Cream of Wheat with dates. There werent enough lumps in the Cream of Wheat. Delicious but not bumpy, and that needs to be fixed.

Im trying to figure out the proper ratio of bumpy to not-bumpy. Im requesting, demanding lumps and bumps, but Im realizing because something Zeb has been making the Cream of Wheat, and when I was little my mom made it. His Cream of Wheat has been supersmooth, and my moms was always bumpy, and in my head Im thinking, I guess she wasnt adding as much water? Or over time it gets clumps or something? But I really have no right to critique anybodys. I dont think Ive ever even made it. I dont know how to do it, I dont know if its a magical thing, but I do know I posted a picture of it and a friend of mine asked, Where are the lumps? So I know its a thing.

We ordered Ivan Ramen for dinner. The Chicken Paitan. The broth has so much depth. Like how do you get that deep with food?? I think it was my first time having it. Ive had Ivan Ramen before, but when I had my first taste of that one, the broth took me back so much that I was like, Its a flavor and richness Ive never had before. Then I had my second taste, and I was like, Oh, this is the best taste ever. So it definitely blew my mind and opened my eyes.
